Essential Strategy for 2082/2083
The Priority Order Rule
IOE processes admission based on your **priority list**. If you get your 1st choice, you cannot opt for your 2nd. Always put your "Dream College" first, even if your rank is borderline.
Reservation Quotas
The cutoffs above are for **General Quota**. If you belong to Female, Janajati, or Dalit quotas, cutoffs are much higher (easier). Ranks like 1500 can often get Pulchowk Civil in reserved seats!
The Waiting Game
Up to 10+ lists are published. Many students jump to foreign universities or medical colleges. **Stick to the counseling process** until the very last list if you want a government campus.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which campuses are included in the predictor?
The tool includes the top constituent engineering colleges of IOE: Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Thapathali Campus, Western Regional Campus (WRC), and Eastern Regional Campus (ERC).
What is the difference between Regular and Full Fee?
Regular seats are government-subsidized with very low fees, while Full Fee seats require higher tuition. Both leading to the same degree and certificate from Tribhuvan University.
Does this tool support reservation quotas?
Currently, the tool predicts General Category cutoffs. Reservation categories (Female, Janajati, Dalit, Khas-Arya) generally have higher ranks, so if you qualify for general, you are safe for reservation too.
Understanding the Data
1st List Benchmarks
All cutoff ranks shown are from the **First Admission List**. Ranks usually drop (become higher) in subsequent 2nd and 3rd lists. If you are close to the cutoff, you still have a strong chance.
Why "N/A*"?
N/A indicates that in the 1st List, no student was admitted to that specific program/scheme. This happens if no one selected it as a priority or if the program is not offered at that campus.
Predicting Success
Predictions are based on a 4-year mathematical average. Use them as a reference, not a guarantee. Check official IOE notices for final seat confirmability.
